Nic Nemeth Defeats Alberto El Patron To Become AAA Mega Champion

Nic Nemeth has been finding plenty of success since his release from WWE last year, showing up to be one of the main event players in TNA at the turn of the year, winning the brand new IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship from David Finlay, and now also scoring yet another belt in a different promotion to add to his collection.

Last night at AAA’s TripleMania XXXII, Nemeth took on former WWE rival Alberto El Patron, throwing back the years and battling it out for a championship. After the AAA Mega Championship was vacated by El Hijo Del Vikingo due to injury last month, these two were put in the ring to crown a new champion. 

Nemeth cheated his way to victory in this match, throwing water in his opponent’s eyes and hitting a low blow to score the win and take the AAA Mega Championship for the very first time in his career. Nemeth is the first wrestler not named Vikingo to hold the belt since all the way back in 2021, as the former champion’s reign lasted for over 800 days.
