Nic Nemeth Vs. Matt Cardona Set For GCW Coldest Winter 2

Nic Nemeth and Matt Cardona to wrestle at GCW Coldest Winter 2

Old rivalries die hard, and for Nic Nemeth and Matt Cardona it means facing off in a Game Changer Wrestling ring.

Nemeth recently returned to pro-wrestling after his 2023 WWE release, first appearing at New Japan Wrestle Kingdom 18 on January 4 before joining the relaunched TNA Wrestling at Hard to Kill on January 13.

Cardona recently threw out a challenge to Nemeth, saying the following in a video that aired during GCW No Compadre:

“It makes me sick to my stomach that all these ex-WWE guys are coming over to the indies and they're trying to leech off companies like GCW to get buzz, who would do something like that?” Started Cardona, later adding “Let me remind you Nic, I'm the man that beat you to become the WWE United States Champion and I fully intend to beat you again.”

Nemeth later responded on social media, saying:

You call yourself the Indie God. Let me tell you something, brother, you are. But you will never be me,” with GCW later sanctioning a match between the two for their February 3 show in Las Vegas.

This will be Nemeth and Cardona’s first singles match against one another since 2012, with the then Dolph Ziggler and Zack Ryder clashing on WWE Saturday Morning Slam.
