Appearing on The Town with Matthew Belloni, WWE President Nick Khan has addressed the allegations against Vince McMahon, calling them "obviously horrific and serious."

After Khan was asked if the allegations would have killed the WWE deal with Netflix, he said: "I don't know about killed, but it certainly wouldn't have helped the deal. Those allegations are obviously horrific and serious and we take them and interpret them the same way any other reasonable person or organisation would interpret them. You saw the quick resignation."

Khan later stated there was no pressure from Netflix for Vince McMahon to resign as TKO Executive Chairman and the WWE President directly stated that McMahon is no longer involved with WWE.

McMahon resigned as TKO Executive Chairman in January 2024 following the filing of a lawsuit by Janel Grant which accused McMahon of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse. WWE and John Laurinaitis were also named as defendants. McMahon remains a major shareholder in TKO Group Holdings.

WWE Raw will start airing on Netflix worldwide beginning in January 2025. All WWE weekly programming will begin airing on Netflix at the same time in many international territories, including the United Kingdom. The deal is a $5 billion for 10 years, although Netflix can opt out after five years or extend the arrangement by a further 10 years.
