Nigel McGuinness Signs With AEW

Nigel McGuinness is ‘All Elite’ with AEW

After making his surprise return to Ring of Honor at Supercard of Honor XVI, Nigel McGuinness has officially signed with All Elite Wrestling, with the former ROH World Champion’s signing being announced on April 5.

Taking to Twitter ahead of AEW Dynamite, AEW/ROH President Tony Khan tweeted the following:

"Nigel McGuiness is a legend in pro wrestling, and now @McGuinnessNigel is All Elite! See you all TONIGHT on @TBSNetwork for a massive Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite, and I'll have a very important announcement on TBS tonight!”

McGuinness was on hand to help deliver Khan’s major announcement, with the two - and Adam Cole - revealing that AEW All In is set for London’s Wembley Stadium on August 27.

Although announced on Dynamite as the newest member of the AEW broadcast team, it is as yet unknown what role McGuinness will serve in AEW/ROH going forward. The smart money is on McGuinness resuming his commentary duties in ROH and forming a three-man booth with Ian Riccaboni and Caprice Coleman, whilst a spot on the commentary team for the rumoured upcoming third AEW weekly TV show is also an option.
