Nikki Cross' New Superhero Gimmick First Pitched To WWE 'A Few Months Back'

A new look for Nikki Cross

Nikki Cross' new superhero character was reportedly first pitched 'a few months back'.

Cross debuted her new look on Monday Night Raw this past week, donning a superhero's outfit and claiming it was her way of expressing the spark she has found in her spirit in recent weeks following wins over Raw Women's Champion Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair.

According to artist Rob Downie on Twitter, he helped Cross design the look for her new costume on WWE television and apparently first put the idea forward to be a superhero 'a few months back'.

Downie, who also shared a colourful design of the outfit, wrote: "I'm so glad I can talk about this now. @NikkiCrossWWE [pitched] this idea a few months back. I'm so happy to see it brought to life."

Cross, in her first outing in her new persona, teamed with former partner Alexa Bliss to defeat former WWE Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler on Raw, securing their spot in the Women's Money In The Bank Ladder Match at the pay-per-view of the same name next month.
