Tom Pestock - the wrestler formerly known as Baron Corbin in WWE - has been in talks with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, according to a report from Fightful Select.

NJPW have expressed an interest in Pestock and the two sides have reportedly been in contact. How extensive their talks have been is unknown, however.

Corbin had been a part of WWE from 2012 until 2024. Corbin's deal expired in December but he had already been informed by the company that WWE wouldn't be offering him a new contract.

Whether Corbin has received interest from other promotions is currently unknown but he was backstage visiting at All Elite Wrestling's Worlds End pay-per-view on December 28 in Orlando, Florida.

During his time with WWE, Corbin became a one-time United States Champion and a one-time NXT Tag Team Champion with Bron Breakker. Corbin is also a former King of the Ring and Money in the Bank holder.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling held their biggest show of the year in Wrestle Kingdom 19 on January 4 and followed up with a co-promoted show with AEW in Wrestle Dynasty on January 5, with both events taking place at the Tokyo Dome.

A number of talents in New Japan have expiring deals, including former IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion David Finlay. New Japan expect Finlay to remain with the company, however.
