NJPW Returning To The UK In October

New Japan Pro-Wrestling will return to the United Kingdom later this year.

The promotion held their 2022 Business Strategy Presentation today and NJPW announced they will come back to the United Kingdom in October, with further details to be revealed soon. 

When the company does return to the UK, it will be their first show in the country since 2019 and only their second UK event in company history. 

NJPW made their UK debut in August 2019 with Royal Quest, a pay-per-view that featured several of New Japan's stars, including Kota Ibushi, Will Ospreay, Tetsuya Naito, and Jay White. Three major title matches also took place at the event, including an IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Title match between Guerrillas Of Destiny and Aussie Open, a NEVER Openweight Championship bout between KENTA and Tomohiro Ishii, and Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi for the RevPro British Heavyweight Title. 

In the main event of Royal Quest, Kazuchika Okada successfully defended the IWGP Heavyweight Championship against Minoru Suzuki.
