NJPW's Hiromu Takahashi Cleared For In-Ring Return

The Time Bomb is coming back

Six months after he suffered a torn pectoral muscle, Hiromu Takahashi has been cleared to return to the squared circle.

Takahashi announced he had been cleared on Twitter, writing (translated using Twitter):"[good news] The doctor gave me permission to return! Let's go crazy again. Feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee."

Takahashi tore his pectoral muscle back in February during a Road To Castle Attack tag team match with Shingo Takagi against Kota Ibushi and Tomoaki Honma. The Time Bomb would then relinquish the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship, bringing his fourth reign to an end after 51 days.

A new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion was then crowned at Castle Attack and Takahashi's longtime rival El Desperado defeated BUSHI and El Phantasmo to capture the gold. Despe has since successfully defended the title twice against YOH and Taiji Ishimori and the champion will put the belt on the line on Sunday inside the Tokyo Dome against the returning Robbie Eagles.

Takahashi hinted his return wasn't too far away when he made a special appearance at Dominion in June.
