NJPW's New Japan Cup 2020 Day 6 Results

After a one week break...

New Japan Pro-Wrestling returned to action earlier today after a one week break with the latest matches in the New Japan Cup 2020. The second round kicked off last week and two quarter-final matchups were finalised as Taiji Ishimori vanquished Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Tomohiro Ishii got the better of Togi Makabe, Hiromu Takahashi defeated Toru Yano, and Kazuchika Okada overcame Yuji Nagata.

A blossoming rivalry over the IWGP Tag Team Championships reignited earlier today as Taichi and Kota Ibushi went one on one. The match wasn't allowed to pass without incident, however, as Zack Sabre Jr. quickly interfered which drew the ire of Hiroshi Tanahashi. The interference ultimately worked in The World's Sliest Wrestler's favour as he pinned Ibushi after connecting with Black Mephisto. Other matches on today's show included BUSHI vs. YOSHI-HASHI, EVIL vs. Hirooki Goto, and SHO vs. SANADA.

Check out the day six results below:
• YOSHI-HASHI def. BUSHI
• SANADA def. SHO
• Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi and Hiromu Takahashi def. Tomohiro Ishii, Toru Yano and Yota Tsuji
• Taichi def. Kota Ibushi
