NJPW's Tetsuya Naito To Return From Injury On November 14

Naito will be back in action soon

Two months on from his knee injury, Tetsuya Naito will return to the squared circle on Sunday, November 14.

The former IWGP Heavyweight Champion suffered a knee injury during his opening G1 Climax 31 match against Zack Sabre Jr. Naito was forced to pull out of The Tournament Of Tournaments as a result of the injury and he forfeited his remaining matches, finishing with an 0-9 record.

At a press conference today, though, Naito revealed he will return to the ring on November 14 for the upcoming World Tag League tournament. Naito will team with fellow Los Ingobernables de Japon faction-mate SANADA in the tournament.

Speaking about the knee injury, Naito revealed he thought he had torn the ligaments in his knee but he was informed by doctors that there was no ligament damage and, therefore, he did not need to undergo surgery.

Naito has been teaming with SANADA for much of 2021 and they held the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship for 14 days in July before dropping the gold back to Dangerous Tekkers.
