NJPW's Will Ospreay Says MLW Debut "Will Happen"

No Ospreay in MLW for now

Following reports that his Major League Wrestling debut had been shelved, Will Ospreay has revealed he will still appear in the promotion, just not when he was meant to.

"Lads MLW will happen. Just not when it was meant too. Everyone calm your t*ts," Ospreay tweeted.

A report from SEScoops noted on Monday that Ospreay was no longer scheduled to debut in MLW, with the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion having confirmed the news to them.

Ospreay's appearance was reportedly scrapped after the MLW-NJPW working relationship ended in mid-November. MLW had previously told New Japan they would also be collaborating with All Japan-Pro Wrestling moving forward, something NJPW weren't happy about.

Court Bauer's promotion announced in October that Ospreay would be debuting at MLW's December show from the Melrose Ballroom in New York City.

The Commonwealth Kingpin has been active in the United States and Europe since he returned to the ring in August, performing on NJPW Strong and for the likes of RevPro, OTT Wrestling, House Of Glory and Northeast Wrestling.
