NJPW Talent Set To Leave IMPACT Wrestling

IMPACT Wrestling have ‘fired’ an NJPW talent

You always have to ride your luck in life, and this is no different in pro wrestling, especially when it comes to IMPACT’s ‘Feast or Fired’ match.

The match sees four briefcases suspended around the ring; three contain title shots, one contains a contract termination. On IMPACT 1000 part two on September 21 the contents of the cases were revealed, with a New Japan Pro-Wrestling star fired by the company as a result.

Feast or Fired returned on IMPACT 1000 part one on September 14, with Moose, Crazzy Steve, Chris Bey, and Yuya Uemura all walking away with cases. Moose ended up with an IMPACT World Championship shot, Crazzy Steve with a Digital Media Championship shot, and Bey with an IMPACT World Tag Team Championship shot. For Uemura, this unfortunately meant he was left holding his termination papers from IMPACT.

Uemura has been on excursion with IMPACT since August 2022, and it’s assumed that Uemura will return to NJPW to continue his career. There is every chance that the 28-year-old could remain in the States with NJPW STRONG, but we’ll have to wait and see.
