NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 15 Capacity Set At 20,000

The Tokyo Dome will be almost half-full...

New Japan Pro-Wrestling recently announced their biggest event of the year Wrestle Kingdom 15 will once again be held over two days. Night one will take place on January 4 while night two will follow on January 5. No date has been confirmed for New Year Dash as of yet, but the show was held on January 6 in 2020.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, many were wondering how many fans would be able to attend the Tokyo Dome show. New NJPW President/CEO Takami Ohbari recently told Tokyo Sports capacity will be limited to 20,000. The dome can hold up to 55,000 fans and a combined 70,000 fans attended both nights of Wrestle Kingdom 14.

Despite the reduced attendance, if the event sells out it would be the biggest professional wrestling show since WWE Royal Rumble 2020.

No matches have been announced for Wrestle Kingdom 15 as of yet. The main event will be determined at Power Struggle on November 7 as Tetsuya Naito will defend the double championships against EVIL, while G1 Climax 30 winner Kota Ibushi will put his Right To Challenge Contract on the line against Jay White.
