No Plans To Use William Regal Full-Time On WWE TV

William Regal is busy behind the scenes.

For those hoping to see William Regal more on WWE TV, don't get your hopes up.

Fightful Select have reported that (as of the February 27 NXT television taping) there are no plans to use Regal in a full-time on-screen role in the near future.

Regal did make a rare appearance on the January 23 edition of NXT, showing up to congratulate new NXT General Manager Ava, while asking her to look after the brand as it meant a lot to him.

It was Regal's first on-camera appearance since returning to the company towards the end of 2022.

Regal had previously been the long-term General Manager of NXT, prior to being released in January 2022. He subsequently joined AEW, but asked to leave Tony Khan's promotion in order to go back to WWE after his close friend and ally Paul 'Triple H' Levesque gained creative power.

One of the conditions of his AEW release stipulated that he could not appear on camera for WWE in 2023.

According to reports, the 55-year-old now works as the Vice President of Global Talent Development for WWE and is on hand at Raw and SmackDown tapings to help fine-tune in-ring performances.
