Gunnar Eudy has confirmed the family of Sycho Sid will not give a speech at the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony, and it appears WWE will simply air a video package for The Master and Ruler of the World.

In Facebook comments about possibly attending WrestleCon, Gunnar wrote, "There will be no acceptance speech because they are putting him in the legacy wing. We will just be in the crowd."

Eudy then added: "We would have been honored to give a speech but at the same time I feel like his fans rather see a video package of him than two people talking that they don't know."

Sid Eudy - AKA Sycho Sid, Sid Vicious, and Sid Justice - will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2026 and as a legacy inductee. Sycho Sid will be in the same WWE Hall of Fame class as AJ Styles, Stephanie McMahon, Demolition, Dennis Rodman, and Bad News Brown.

Sycho Sid had a legendary pro wrestling career, competing full-time in the squared circle from 1987 until 2001 across WWE, WCW, ECW, and USWA. Sid is a two-time WWE Champion and two-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, and he holds the rare distinction of only competing in the main event of WrestleMania when he did perform at WWE's biggest show of the year.

Sycho Sid passed away in August 2024 after privately battling cancer for several years. Gunnar Eudy has organised a memorial show for Sid that will take place in West Memphis, Arkansas on August 29, with all profits from the event being donated to local dog shelters.
