NWA Vs. AAA Set For Smashing Pumpkins Concert

Hands up, who had ‘NWA vs. AAA at a Smashing Pumpkins concert’ on their 2022 wrestling bingo card? Well congratulations, because it has been announced that, yes, NWA vs. AAA will take place at the Smashing Pumpkins’ The World Is a Vampire 2023 festival at Mexico City's Foro Sol Stadium on March 4, 2023.
The NWA announced the news via their Twitter account, tweeting the following:
"HUGE announcement!!!! It's the @nwa vs. @luchalibreaaa in #MexicoCity in March – WITH @smashingpumpkins and many more!! Pre-sale starts Nov 28 at 2 pm CT and general on sale on Nov 29 at 2 pm CT."
NWA tweeted out a flyer for the show, and reports suggest a ‘never before seen clash’ is set for the show, although as of writing no matches have been publicly announced for the show.
Alongside NWA vs. AAA and Smashing Pumpkins, the likes of Interpol, Turnstile, and Peter Hook are set to perform at the event.
Wrestling matches taking place at a music festival is not a new concept, with WWE NXT memorably running exhibition matches at Download Festival in the UK in recent years.
