NXT Wednesday Night Ratings Are In

Did the numbers come in?

It was a strong start for the new era of NXT as part of the USA Network.

NXT On USA averaged 1.179 million viewers on Wednesday night, according to the Wrestling Observer. When it comes to TV rankings, despite not cracking the top 20 overall, the show finished fourth in the 18-49 demographic.

The show that leads in to NXT, Suits, averages around 965,000 and was marginally up on Wednesday. USA Network will be hoping for number in that ballpark from NXT on a regular basis - so it's fair to say this first rating will be considered a success.

On next week's show, Dominik Dijakovic takes on Keith Lee once more in what is fast becoming a series of wrestling classics. Also, Matt Riddle faces Killian Dain in a Street Fight rematch to determine the number one contender for the NXT Championship.

Next week is the final time NXT is an island unto itself though, as AEW Dynamite is set to start on Wednesday October 2nd. It will be interesting to see where the live audience goes on Wednesdays in October.
