The former partner of Odyssey Jones (real name Omari Palmer) has alleged that he physically abused her during the course of their relationship.

A police report filed on May 23, 2024 with the Maitland Police Department obtained by POST Wrestling has revealed that Palmer's ex-partner accused him of battery stemming from an incident on May 17, 2024 in which Palmer allegedly became "extremely angry" after discovering text messages she had sent to another man. Palmer's ex-partner alleges he threw items, grabbed her, and slammed her to the floor twice.

The police report included photos of bruises on the ex-partner's shoulders and legs which she alleged were caused by Palmer. Within the same police report, Palmer denied he threw objects at his ex-partner and that he was physically violent towards her. He stated he became upset and threw objects around the apartment.

The reporting officer requested for charges of one count of battery to be filed against Palmer. The Orange County State Attorney’s Office confirmed to POST Wrestling that the case is still under review and no decision has yet been made about whether or not to formally press charges.

Palmer's ex-partner has also alleged that Palmer broke her phones shortly after May 17, 2024 and that further abuse occurred during a cruise in the Caribbean when Palmer "bashed" her against the walls of their cabin which caused her to suffer a concussion. She also alleges that Palmer threw her phone into the sea.

Palmer provided a different account of what occurred on the Caribbean cruise within his application for an order of protection against his ex-partner in September 2024.

Palmer wrote: "[S]he believed I interacted inappropriately with another female. She became increasingly more irate and started punching, slapping, and kicking me. She was screaming at me the whole time. I attempted to defend myself from her attack by hugging her arms to her side."

Palmer claimed his ex-partner was taken into custody on the ship and later picked up by family.

Palmer's ex-partner has claimed WWE investigated her claims, during which they contacted her. The result of the investigation was Palmer's firing in September 2024.

Omari Palmer was granted a temporary injunction for protection against dating violence against his ex-partner on September 6, 2024 by the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in Orange County, Florida. The protection order has since been extended to 2028. Palmer alleged he was subjected to harassment and threats by his ex-partner which included the aforementioned Caribbean cruise incident and another incident at a hotel where Palmer's ex-partner allegedly attacked him.

Palmer stated that following the Caribbean cruise, his ex-partner contacted his place of employment which resulted in him being fired. He alleged that she made numerous threats to "get me back in any way she can."

Palmer and his ex-partner first dated from 2017 until they separated in 2018. They resumed the relationship in August 2023. Palmer resides in Orange County, Florida while his ex-partner lives in New York State.

Palmer's ex-partner has denied his allegations against her and claimed to POST Wrestling that the protection order was granted partly because she lacked legal representation in Florida and doesn't live in the state.

"Omari twisted the story to benefit him and told his lawyer a bunch of lies which clearly were not backed up by evidence," she told POST Wrestling.

Amongst Omari Palmer's claims was that he filed a police report alleging stalking. The Maitland Police Department in Florida have since said no record of such a report exists and the only report they have on file is his ex-partner's battery allegation.

Omari Palmer signed with WWE in 2019 but he was fired in September 2024, only one month after his main roster debut due to a domestic violence allegation.

Palmer claimed earlier this month that he was taking legal action against his ex-partner and accepting pro wrestling bookings for 2025.
