While the event is several weeks away, ticket sales have been anything but positive for Real American Freestyle's first-ever show.
The RAF event is currently planned for the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday, August 30. The venue can hold up to 13,077 fans, but only 457 tickets have been distributed for the Real American Freestyle event since tickets went on sale, WrestleTix has reported. Over the past week, only 47 tickets were distributed, with the cheapest ticket currently priced at $39.60.
Real American Freestyle is a new freestyle wrestling league which aims to blend amateur wrestling with elements of professional wrestling. The likes of Wyatt Hendrickson, Aaron Brooks, Kennedy Blades, David Carr, and Sarah Hildebrandt have all signed with the company.
Real American Freestyle was launched earlier this year with a short video from Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan reminiscent of their nWo paid announcements that aired on WCW TV. Hulk Hogan is the Commissioner of Real American Freestyle, while Eric Bischoff is the league's Chief Media Officer.
