Orange Cassidy Comments On AEW International Title Rebrand

Orange Cassidy has given his thoughts on the rebranded AEW International Title

All Elite Wrestling recently took the curious route of renaming one of their active titles, with the All-Atlantic Title being reborn as the AEW International Title ahead of the March 15 edition of AEW Dynamite.

The move - seemingly a promotional tie-in with Shazam! Fury of the Gods - has caused discussion amongst wrestling fans, and the last All-Atlantic Champion Orange Cassidy himself has given his thoughts on the rebrand, saying the following to Esquire Middle East:

“I don’t know if just reigning over one ocean was good enough for me. Like, why not just do them all,” said Cassidy in typically pithy fashion.

When asked what his favourite ocean was, Cassidy did reveal a fondness for the Atlantic Ocean; “People ask me that all the time. I would have to say Atlantic just because I was king of it once.”

Cassidy defeated Jeff Jarrett on the March 15 edition of AEW Dynamite, cementing his status as AEW International Champion. Cassidy first won the belt in October 2022, with victory over long-time rival and inaugural champion PAC.
