A hair vs. hair match has been announced for the 10/1 episode of AEW Rampage, as Orange Cassidy goes one on one with Hardy Family Office member Jack Evans.
Cassidy and Matt Hardy have been feuding for weeks. The latest incident between the two came during an eight-man tag on Friday night's Grand Slam edition of Rampage, when Hardy (managing Private Party, Butcher, and Blade against The Lucha Bros, Santana, and Ortiz) attempted to cut Ortiz's hair during the match. Cassidy came out to ward Hardy off, and ended up giving Evans an Orange Punch.
Hardy has been teasing wanting to cut Cassidy's hair for some time.
After the match, Hardy challenged Cassidy to the hair vs. hair match. However, instead of offering himself up for the match, Hardy volunteered Evans as Cassidy's opponent, much to Evans' chagrin. Hardy told Evans that he'd better not lose.
The October 1 edition of Rampage will be taped the same night as this Wednesday's live Dynamite. Headlining that show is a TNT title match in which Miro defends against Sammy Guevara.
