Orange Cassidy Wins AEW All-Atlantic Title On Dynamite

Cassidy's first championship in AEW

Orange Cassidy is the new AEW All-Atlantic champion, defeating PAC in the main event of Wednesday's AEW Dynamite in Toronto.

Late in the match, a desperate PAC went to get the ring bell hammer (that he'd used on Cassidy and Trent Beretta in prior title matches) when he was stopped by a disguised Danhausen. PAC struck Danhausen, but the skirmish led to referee Bryce Remsburg seeing Pac with the hammer, and taking it away.

As Rembsurg disposed of the hammer, PAC pulled a second hammer from under the ring and went to use it on Cassidy, only to be stopped dead in his tracks with the Orange Punch. Cassidy teased using the hammer on the dazed PAC, but opted not to, and instead finished PAC off with a second Orange Punch to win the title.

After the match, Cassidy celebrated with Danhausen and Best Friends under a hail of orange confetti.

The win gives Cassidy his first championship in AEW. He previously made unsuccessful challenges of the World, TNT, and Trios Tag Team Titles.

PAC's reign as All-Atlantic champion ends at 108 days. He became the inaugural titleholder after winning a four-way match at Forbidden Door on June 26.
