Origin Of Orange Cassidy's Lazy Thumbs-Up Revealed

A surprising origin for OC's signature.

AEW star Orange Cassidy isn't exactly the type to show an abundance of emotion, though he will occasionally give a half-hearted thumbs up.

The taunt has become one of the current AEW International Champion's calling cards, though its origins may surprise you.

During a recent appearance on Talk is Jericho, OC's on and off-screen friend Trent Beretta revealed how the thumbs up came to be, saying:

"We did this show in China, and it was an advertisement in an airport for whatever it was, Chinese Soda, and for whatever reason, his [billboard ad person] thumb was a sh***y half-assed thumbs up. That was the thing the whole tour we were all doing. His [Ad Person] thumb looked great, he was just being lazy. It became a thing we did all tour. It fits him [Orange Cassidy] perfectly".

Beretta and Cassidy will team with Chuck Taylor, Eddie Kingston and Penta El Zero Miedo to take on Blackpool Combat Club, Santana and Ortiz in a Stadium Stampede Match at All In this Sunday.
