Renee Paquette Says She'll Crap Her Pants If Edge Joins AEW

With his WWE deal set to expire at the end of September, Edge may not be sticking around in the company with a new contract. 

Reports have indicated the belief within WWE is that Edge is AEW-bound, with WWE having turned down the opportunity to offer the 11-time world champion what he requested to retain his services. It is believed that Edge knew what would be on the table from AEW due to potential informal conversations with friends already signed with the company. 

Edge has since claimed that WWE have offered him a contract extension and he is unsure about his pro wrestling future.

If Edge does turn up in AEW, though, it will have an unfortunate effect on Renee Paquette, with the backstage interviewer revealing she would crap her pants if Adam Copeland signed with Tony Khan's promotion. 

"If he were to come over to AEW, I will crap my pants. Like, I'll die. It gives me goosebumps. Like, the idea of that happening. Not only just as a Canadian and as a kid growing up, watching Edge in WWE and watching his career, but to get to know him as a human. To get to know him and his wife, Beth Phoenix. They're just such incredible, like top-notch, world-class human beings. To be able to watch what he was able to do and wrap up his last match in Toronto. What a storybook ending for him," Paquette told Cageside Seats.

Should Edge join AEW, the prospect of a reunion with real-life best friend Christian Cage would prove enticing to many. Edge will likely need to find a new in-ring name, though, since WWE own the trademark for 'Edge.'
