Paige Returns At WrestleMania 42, Wins WWE Women's Tag Team Titles With Brie Bella

Paige is back in WWE, having made her return as Nikki Bella’s replacement in the four-way for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 42 night one. 

Brie Bella was originally scheduled to team with Nikki, but the former Divas Champion sustained a sprained ankle on the March 27 episode of SmackDown, and she was not cleared in time to compete at WrestleMania. This resulted in Nikki announcing during the Bellas’ entrance that she was unable to wrestle, but she had made a call to an old friend, which led to the return of Paige. 

The crowd loudly popped for Paige's comeback and whenever she was on offence in the contest. She was involved in the finish as Nikki Bella attacking Charlotte Flair with her crutch distracted Alexa Bliss on a twisted bliss attempt and allowed Paige to get her knees up. One rampaige to Alexa Bliss later and Paige and Brie Bella were the new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.

It emerged on Friday that Saraya-Jade Bevis had signed a new multi-year deal with WWE and that she would be returning at WrestleMania. Bevis, part of the Knight pro wrestling family from Norwich, England, previously worked for WWE from 2011 until 2022, including wrestling for the company until December 2017 when she sustained a neck injury and was forced to retire in 2018. Paige continued to appear on WWE TV in non-wrestling roles as the SmackDown General Manager and the manager of the Kabuki Warriors. 

Paige ended her first run in WWE as a one-time and the inaugural NXT Women’s Champion, and a two-time Divas Champion. Following the expiry of her WWE contract in 2022, Paige headed to All Elite Wrestling as Saraya and made her in-ring return in the promotion at Full Gear 2022. She became a one-time AEW Women’s World Champion prior to Saraya and AEW agreeing to part ways in March 2025.

Following the end of her AEW run, Paige had made it clear she was open to returning to WWE, and it finally happened at WrestleMania 42.
