A talent who has not wrestled for WWE since 2017 will be returning to the company for WrestleMania 42, it has been revealed.

PWInsider has reported that Saraya has signed a new deal with WWE to perform for the company as a wrestler and she will use her former WWE ring name of Paige. BodySlam noted Saraya has put pen to paper on a multi-year contract.

The belief is Paige will be a part of the Women's Tag Team Title four-way at WrestleMania Saturday as the replacement for Nikki Bella, with PWInsider also reporting that Bella will not be cleared in time to compete this coming weekend. Paige was spotted taking part in a rehearsal of the match earlier this week.

Nikki Bella was set to team with sister Brie as the Bella Twins against champions Nia Jax & Lash Legend and fellow challengers Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair and Bayley & Lyra Valkyria. Nikki suffered a high ankle sprain on the March 27 episode of SmackDown, though, and while she has been rehabbing the injury, Bella will not be back in time for 'Mania.

Saraya-Jade Bevis - part of the Knight pro wrestling family based out of Norwich, England - joined WWE in 2011 and wrestled for the company until she suffered a serious neck injury in December 2017. Paige enjoyed success during her WWE in-ring career, becoming the inaugural NXT Women's Champion in 2013 and a two-time Divas Champion as part of a 2014 feud with AJ Lee.

After announcing her retirement in 2018, Paige transitioned to non-wrestling roles, which included spells as the SmackDown General Manager and the manager of the Kabuki Warriors. She was also the subject of the 2019 movie, Fighting with My Family, which starred Florence Pugh as Paige.

Paige's WWE contract expired in June 2022 and she signed with All Elite Wrestling in September of that year under the ring name Saraya. The now-33-year-old returned to the squared circle at Full Gear 2022 and she would go on to win the AEW Women's World Championship at All In 2023 inside Wembley Stadium. She and AEW agreed to part ways in March 2025, several months after Saraya decided to take time off in October 2024.

Immediately after her AEW exit, Saraya announced she was interested in returning to WWE and she has stated her desire to go back to the company on multiple occasions, including in February 2026 when she revealed she wanted to be in the 2026 women's Royal Rumble match.
