During an interview to celebrate WWE’s recent move to BT Sport!
Jan 19, 2020
On the episode of Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania 34, Paige announced her retirement from professional wrestling because of neck injuries.
Since then, The Anti-Diva has embarked upon a number of roles outside of the ring in WWE. The day after her retirement, she was announced as the new general manager of SmackDown, holding the position until December 17, 2018. She then took some time away from WWE TV to promote Fighting With My Family, a movie based on Paige's journey to becoming a WWE Superstar. The first-ever NXT Women's Champion also managed The Kabuki Warriors for a brief period, and now she is a featured analyst on WWE Backstage on Tuesday nights.
To celebrate WWE's move to BT Sport, Jack King held an interview with Paige, Nikki Cross and Sheamus. After being asked about her non-wrestling roles, the former Divas champion said she loves not having to travel as much and doing things outside of her comfort zone, but that she does miss wrestling.
Paige said: "I love it. I do miss wrestling so its kind of bittersweet, but I love the side of things where I don’t have to travel as often and I get to do things that are kind of outside my comfort zone, like being the GM which I loved doing, and now being an analyst on WWE Backstage. I’m having a great time."
