Paige VanZant no longer with AEW
Apr 23, 2024
In a report that will surprise few, Paige VanZant is no longer signed with All Elite Wrestling, even though she is still featured as a member of the women's division on the promotion's roster page.
After being asked on Wrestling Observer Radio if Paige VanZant was still under contract with AEW, Dave Meltzer stated: "No, even though I know she's still on the roster. She's not with AEW anymore. She decided she didn't want to be a wrestler. If she wanted to be a wrestler she'd still be there."
Paige VanZant made her debut in All Elite Wrestling back in September 2021, appearing as part of American Top Team. She signed with AEW in March 2022, receiving the #AllElite graphic too, and VanZant went on to team with Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky against Tay Melo, Sammy Guevara, and Frankie Kazarian at Double or Nothing in May.
This was VanZant's final appearance for AEW and Gangrel, who trained VanZant in wrestling, noted he hadn't seen her since Double or Nothing after she didn't travel to his wrestling school to review the Double or Nothing match. She reached out to him in the Summer of 2023 about resuming her pro wrestling training but VanZant ultimately didn't go back to the wrestling school.
It was recently announced that VanZant will make her professional boxing debut on May 25 in Misfits Boxing. She will fight OnlyFans model Elle Brooke in the headline bout of MF & DAZN: X Series 15.
