Pat McAfee Back Full-Time With WWE As Raw Commentator

Pat McAfee full-time with WWE on Raw

Pat McAfee is full-time with WWE once again, returning to the commentary table alongside Michael Cole on the January 29 episode of Monday Night Raw. McAfee will be doing commentary for Raw every week going forward.

Cole and McAfee previously worked together on Friday Night SmackDown from April 2021 until September 2022. McAfee stepped away from SmackDown to join ESPN's College GameDay as a pundit but now he is back, this time on Raw.

McAfee has made sporadic appearances on WWE TV since September 2022, including doing commentary at the past two editions of the Royal Rumble and at 2023's FastLane. McAfee even wrestled The Miz at WrestleMania 39 in an impromptu match and he was a surprise entrant in the 2024 men's Royal Rumble.

Wade Barrett was previously Cole's partner on Monday Night Raw. The former Intercontinental Champion's future at the announce table is currently up in the air.

Why exactly McAfee decided to return to WWE full-time is unknown. His Pat McAfee Show was caught up in a scandal in 2024 after New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers alleged that Jimmy Kimmel was an associate of Jeffrey Epstein while appearing in his weekly segment on the show. The sports talk show that airs on ESPN has since announced that Rodgers won't be appearing on the Pat McAfee Show moving forward for now.
