Pat McAfee Exits WWE Raw, Returning In January 2025

Pat McAfee back on WWE Raw in January 2025

Pat McAfee will be off WWE TV for much of the second half of 2024.

McAfee announced ahead of the August 19 edition of Monday Night Raw that the show would be his final appearance on the red brand for a little while due to his commitments to ESPN College GameDay, which starts this Saturday.

McAfee said: "Very bummed out that tonight will be my last trip to that wonderful WWE family for a while. All right, let's have a day. I'm bummed out. Football season is starting, which is awesome. But the WWE family is where I'm supposed to be. And I know that, and I hope they do too."

It was then revealed during Raw that McAfee would return to the show when Raw moves to Netflix in January 2025.

WWE are set to carry out a short-term commentary team shake-up in the coming weeks. Joe Tessitore will make his WWE commentary debut on the post-Bash in Berlin edition of Monday Night Raw, while Michael Cole will head to SmackDown. Upon the move to Netflix, though, Michael Cole will head back to Monday Night Raw and Tessitore will transfer to SmackDown.
