Pat McAfee looks set to be back on WWE programming at some point in the near future.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, the belief within WWE is McAfee is expected to be back in the company soon. McAfee's exact schedule and what role he will play when he is back on WWE TV is currently unknown.

Pat McAfee has primarily worked as an announcer on Monday Night Raw, having been the colour commentator on the red brand in his second run at the announce table since January 2024. McAfee has been gone from WWE TV since June 2025, citing burnout, but he also regularly takes time off from WWE beginning in September due to his ESPN College GameDay commitments.

McAfee has remained connected to WWE through the Pat McAfee Show. It was revealed on the show this week that Brock Lesnar will be in the men's Royal Rumble match on January 31 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

McAfee has also sporadically wrestled in WWE, most recently at Backlash 2025 where he lost to Gunther. It was revealed during season two of WWE: Unreal that Bruce Prichard actually pitched for McAfee to defeat the two-time World Heavyweight Champion, which was quickly shot down by other members of WWE creative.
