Paul Heyman Claims Kevin Owens Told Him To Bury Sami Zayn In WWE

"It wasn't even my idea to bury him. It was Kevin Owens' idea to bury him"

Paul Heyman gave credence to Sami Zayn's conspiracy claims over the weekend as he admitted on Talking Smack that he buried The Great Liberator in meetings when he was Raw Executive Director.  Heyman noted it wasn't his decision, though, and claimed Kevin Owens told him to bury Zayn.

"It wasn't even my idea to bury him. It was Kevin Owens' idea to bury him," Heyman stated. "We were running hot on Raw and The Street Profits were the tag team champions and I needed a tag team to go with The Street Profits and I went to Kevin Owens and I said, 'Why don't you team with Sami Zayn again and we'll put you against The Street Profits?' And he said, 'Are you kidding me? I've known that guy since we were kids together. He's a pr**k. I don't like him. Bury him in meetings.' And I said, 'No, no KO! I don't want to bury Sami.' And he goes, 'No, no, no. Everybody else buries him you might as well bury him.' And I did, it was part of a conspiracy because Kevin Owens didn't like him."

Heyman's claims appear to be an attempt to sow discord between Zayn and Owens. Heyman's client Roman Reigns spent the last few months feuding with KO and there was no love lost between the two Superstars by the end of their rivalry.
