Paul Heyman Promo Segment Announced For WWE SmackDown

Heyman was 'fired' last week

WWE have announced that Paul Heyman will speak publicly for the first time since being fired and attacked by Roman Reigns on the Christmas Eve SmackDown episode.

Reigns informed Heyman that his services were no longer required on last Friday's show, delivering the message with a Superman Punch after questioning his Special Council's alliegence to himself and Brock Lesnar.

Heyman had informed Reigns he was protecting him from Lesnar, leading to the Tribal Chief firing him and going to attack him. Lesnar would come out to make the save, dispatching The Usos before giving Reigns two F5s.

This Friday's SmackDown was taped at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois last week and a live segment with Heyman was not part of the reports coming from those at the live taping. It therefore appears that Heyman's involvement will be in some form of backstage segment, either as a standalone promo or in an interview.

Also confirmed for this Friday's show is a SmackDown Women's Championship Match between Charlotte Flair and Toni Storm, as well as a '12 Days Of Christmas' Gauntlet Match to determine the number one contender to Shinsuke Nakamura's Intercontinental Title.
