Paul Heyman Scouts Talent At WWE Tryouts

Paul Heyman could have new responsibilities in WWE

With news of the shake-ups behind the scenes in WWE after Vince McMahon's retirement, it seems Paul Heyman could be expanding his roles within the company, as the former ECW President was present for WWE tryouts in Nashville this week.

Heyman is believed to be close with Triple H, with some reports suggesting he could be part of The Game's new creative team, and Heyman was with Triple H for the tryouts ahead of Saturday's SummerSlam pay-per-view.

WWE posted a video from the tryouts on social media of Heyman telling those in attendance to "sell me your name."

The tryouts are believed to feature independent wrestlers and could serve as an insight into how the ‘Triple H era’ of WWE could shape up. Troy Polamalu's nephew was also in Nashville for the tryouts.

Reports earlier this week suggested that Heyman could be ‘someone to watch’ in WWE due to his reported closeness with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, his relationship with main eventers Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, and Ronda Rousey, as well as his celebrated 'wrestling mind,' with Heyman having earned plaudits for his work in ECW and during the 'SmackDown Six' era of SmackDown in the early 2000s.
