Paul Wight has been a busy bee in recent weeks, doing media rounds in the UK ahead of AEW’s return to Wembley Stadium for All In: London 2026 later this year in his ambassadorial role with the company. It looks as though he will be sticking around in AEW for the time being.
It has been reported by Fightful Select that Paul Wight (known throughout his career mostly as The Big Show) has put pen to paper and re-signed with AEW. In recent interviews Wight noted that he planned to remain in AEW, prompting Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp to reach out and learn that Wight’s AEW contract was set to expire earlier this year, with him agreeing to re-signing another deal to stay with AEW.
Wight signed with AEW back in 2021, taking on numerous roles such as in-ring performer, commentator, interviewer, and backstage personality. At the back end of last year, Wight revealed that despite not wrestling for over two years, he had not closed the door to stepping foot back inside the ropes at some point down the line.
