Penelope Ford Returns At AEW Dark: Elevation Taping

A star of the AEW women's division returned to the promotion during Wednesday's taping of Dark: Elevation in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Penelope Ford has not been in action for several months but was back in the ring on Dark: Elevation, defeating Heather Reckless. The match will air on Monday, August 15 unless AEW announce a special edition of the YouTube show.

Wednesday was Ford's first match since she defeated Angelica Risk at the January 15 Dark tapings. Prior to that, Ford had teamed with The Bunny against Anna Jay and Tay Conti in a feud that culminated in a Street Fight on New Year's Eve.

Ford's absence was not addressed on AEW TV but when Tony Khan was accused of giving up on the talent, he announced that she was currently out of action due to not being medically cleared.

Along with Ford's return, the Dark: Elevation taping featured several matches, including Konosuke Takeshita vs. Ryan Nemeth, The Acclaimed vs. JT Energy and Justin Fowley, and Thunder Rosa, Toni Storm, and Hikaru Shida vs. Nyla Rose, Marina Shafir, and Emi Sakura.
