Penta El Ziero Miedo Never Expected Trios Titles In A Major American Promotion

Penta El Zero Miedo is surprised that trios titles are in AEW

After years of speculation, AEW finally unveiled their trios titles earlier this Autumn, with the first ever champions crowned at All Out on September 4.

The inaugural champions The Elite were stripped of the belts due to their part in the All Out backstage fight, with Death Triangle winning the vacant straps one week later with victory over Best Friends.

A staple of lucha libre, trios titles aren’t a common trope of American pro wrestling, and Death triangle member Penta El Zero Miedo revealed to Lucha Libre Online's Hugo Savinovich that he never thought trios titles would be prominent in a major US promotion:

“I honestly did not, and that’s the beauty of this great sport. We got ready and we seized the opportunity and now we are the champions. We are open to defending the titles against any trios in Mexico & the United States,” said Penta.

Penta earlier spoke on how the team are enjoying their run with the gold:

"We are enjoying the process in AEW. We are focused on defending the Trios Titles that we hold & We will defend them against multiple teams. Pac is currently happy with us. We are a fusion that no one expected, as we are a team of two Mexicans and an English man,” said Penta.

Cracks have recently started to form in Death Triangle due to Pac’s insistence on hitting people with hammers, and with a rejuvenated House of Black and a soon-to-be-returning Elite on the horizon, it remains to be seen if they can keep hold of their titles.
