Penta Officially A Free Agent
Penta is no longer with AEW
Dec 1, 2024
Former AEW World Tag Team and World Trios Champion Penta El Zero Miedo is no longer ‘All Elite’. It was revealed in recent weeks that Penta’s AEW contract was coming to a close, and with no agreement in place to keep him with the promotion, it was expected that he would be on his way out of AEW, especially with rumblings of him being WWE-bound.
Fightful Select have revealed that Penta’s contract has officially expired and he is no longer signed with All Elite Wrestling, making him a free agent. After being reportedly planned to win the AEW World Trios Titles at All In 2024 this summer alongside Death Triangle, rumours of talks with WWE spread, leading to plans changing for Penta and Rey Fenix, and both members of the Lucha Brothers were ultimately taken off AEW programming and not used again.
Rey Fenix is still under AEW contract, with his deal reportedly stretching into 2025, though there are no plans creatively for AEW to use him. Fightful Select notes that there is heavy interest on the indies to bring Penta in for some marquee matches.
