AJ Styles didn't rule out wrestling again following the Royal Rumble, and people within WWE don't believe he is done inside the squared circle.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, people they have spoken to within WWE believe Styles isn't done wrestling in some capacity. What exactly that means for where Styles will wrestle is unknown, but the two-time WWE Champion lost to Gunther at the Royal Rumble on January 31 in a match with AJ's career on the line.

There was instantly speculation that Styles wasn't completely done in the squared circle after he left his gloves on following the Gunther match, although Styles claimed on Stephanie McMahon's podcast this week that he is unsure why he didn't take the gloves off.

"I don't know. I don't know. Never say never, right? That's the saying. I think everybody's allowed at least once to come out of retirement. I'm not saying that I'll do it anytime soon....What if my son wrestles? The opportunity to tag with him once, you never know. So, there'll be a time when the gloves never go back on. It may be now, but we'll see," Styles stated.

Should Styles decide to continue wrestling in 2026 beyond the Royal Rumble, it has been noted there would likely be interest from AEW and New Japan Pro-Wrestling in using the 48-year-old.
