Back on the indies

After teasing a career announcement, Peter Avalon revealed on Monday he is now accepting bookings for independent wrestling shows.

"My career status: #LFG. The Patriarch of #TheWingmen, #TheLibrarian, Professional, Producer, Pretty Peter Avalon is available for ALL independent dates & appearances! Book the #AEW Original, Dynamite since day 1, #PPAALLDAY. Any date, any time, any place," Avalon tweeted.

A recent report from Fightful Select noted that as of mid-December, Avalon's contract was due to expire within the following few weeks. Avalon did not address his current AEW status within the announcement, but Leva Bates revealed he was still with the promotion, writing: "No, he's still there. Just adding indy dates."

Avalon has been a member of the AEW roster since April 2019. He has primarily been used as an enhancement talent and he suffered 27 losses before winning his first match in November 2020. He is currently a member of The Wingmen with JD Drake, Ryan Nemeth and Cezar Bononi.

Avalon has also continued to work on the independent wrestling scene since he signed with AEW, primarily wrestling in California.
