Macho Drifter

WWE's previous plans for Elias have seemingly been confirmed.
Jeffrey Sciullo hasn't appeared on WWE TV since August of 2021 when he tossed his guitar into a fire and announced 'Elias is dead,' ending the gimmick he had used since 2015.
If the former Elias will eventually return to Raw or SmackDown remains to be seen but the company's previous plans for The Drifter's repackaging have seemingly been revealed, courtesy of the former 24/7 Champion's WWE 2K22 reveal where the 34-year-old can be seen wearing colourful trunks with matching bracers.
This seemingly confirms a previous report from WrestleVotes which noted WWE's initial idea to rebrand Elias would have seen him return with colourful trunks. The plan was scrapped, though, after Vince McMahon became aware of the idea, with the WWE Chairman believing the look was too similar to that of 'Macho Man' Randy Savage.
The report also noted WWE didn't have a plan following the end of Elias' graveyard segments, only that they were done to move Elias away from his guitar-playing drifter character.
Elias has been a part of WWE since 2014. He is currently a free agent, having gone undrafted in the 2021 WWE Draft.
