Could Tony Chimel appear on All Elite Wrestling's televised programming?
Chimel has worked behind the scenes for AEW in recent years and Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp has reported that there have been at least a couple of people who have pitched for Chimel to appear on-screen and announce an entrance. There is no word on whether Chimel will actually appear on-screen for the promotion, however.
Chimel has performed a variety of duties in All Elite Wrestling. He noted in 2023 that he was very much a jack-of-all-trades from mentoring ring announcers to helping with marketing.
Tony Chimel previously worked for WWE from 1991 until he was released in 2020, serving as the ring announcer on SmackDown from 1999 until 2007. Chimel was a popular ring announcer and became famous for his introduction of Edge as the 'Rated R Superstar.'
Both Tony Chimel and Adam Copeland (AKA Cope) are now a part of All Elite Wrestling so the possibility is there for Chimel to introduce the 'Rated R Superstar' at least one more time.
