Popular Star Expected To Return For WWE SmackDown

WWE look set to have one of their major stars back for tonight's episode of Friday Night SmackDown from Sacramento, California. 

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, LA Knight is expected to make his return on SmackDown. The popular WWE star was scheduled to be in a major angle on last week's SmackDown alongside John Cena, Jimmy Uso, and Solo Sikoa but Knight tested positive for COVID-19 before the show and had to leave the building. 

The angle was designed to set up John Cena & LA Knight vs. Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa for Fastlane on October 7. That match has been made official as a Handicap Match of Cena vs. The Bloodline so far but the expectation is Knight will be added to the match since he is able to return in time for the premium live event. 

Cena and LA Knight have been linked on WWE TV since the 16-time world champion returned in August. Cena was the special guest referee for LA Knight's match against The Miz at Payback. After Knight picked up the win, Cena gave him the rub, raising his hand on the entrance ramp to a huge ovation.
