Fans may not have to wait too long for Powerhouse Hobbs to make his debut in WWE.

Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp has reported that people in WWE are operating under the belief that Hobbs has signed with the organisation. Hobbs has not been backstage at a WWE event as of yet, but Fightful noted that sources they had spoken to expected Hobbs to be at Royal Rumble weekend, although those plans couldn't be confirmed.

This would suggest that Hobbs could make his WWE debut at the 2026 Royal Rumble, which will emanate from a new arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday, January 31.

Hobbs finished up with All Elite Wrestling on January 14, with his contract expiring at the end of the day. His final match in the promotion aired on Collision Maximum Carnage as he and The Opps dropped the AEW World Trios Championships to Hangman Page and JetSpeed.

Hobbs was expected to join WWE following the end of his AEW contract, with the 34-year-old reportedly turning down a "huge" offer from AEW.

The pitch from WWE was for Hobbs to appear on the main roster and he is expected to have an altered name at the very least whenever he does debut on WWE programming.
