If WWE are set to reschedule or change venues for Crown Jewel 2026 then they’re leaving it very late, with preparations underway in Saudi Arabia ahead of the event on November 7.
All eyes have been on the event due to ongoing conflicts in the middle east, with the Iran backed Houthis in Yemen having attacked a number of high profile targets in Saudi Arabia, including strikes on airports in the region. The United States embassy has urged extreme caution for American citizens using Saudi airports.
A report from PWInsider states that setup for the event has begun in Riyadh, with a follow-up from Fightful Select stating that workers on site have been there ‘for weeks’ and fully expect to event to go ahead as planned. WWE talents are understandably concerned with the situation.
With airports being a target for Houthis strikes, WWE may have to make other roads into Saudi Arabia for the event. Ariel Helwani noted that the upcoming Power Slap show in the region will see production staff fly into Bahrain and take a five-hour bus to Riyadh, with the Power Slap event taking place the night prior to Crown Jewel on November 6.
On TV it’s business as usual for WWE, with a Crown Jewel match pitting WWE World Tag Team Champions The Vision against the team of Je’Von Evans and Penta set-up on the October 26 edition of RAW.
