John Cena WWE Return Set For RAW

John Cena is set to make his televised WWE return, with the multi-time world champion set for the November 2 edition of RAW.

Cena has not appeared on WWE weekly TV since his retirement in December 2025, with the 17-time world champion bowing out with defeat to Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event. During the October 26 edition of RAW, it was announced that Cena will be in the house when RAW heads to New York’s Barclays Center on November 2, but the nature of Cena’s return hasn’t been confirmed at the time of writing.

Speculation is rife that Cena’s return will be linked to the previously announced John Cena Classic Tournament, with Cena revealing vague plans for a December tournament during an appearance at Backlash in May 2026. The JCC - set to pit NXT stars vs. WWE main roster talents - was recently mentioned by Cena during media rounds for the Matchbox movie.

WWE are set to return to Australia on December 12 2026 for WrestlePalooza in Perth, it remains to be seen if the John Cena Classic will feature in any way on the show, or if the tournament will be a one-night affair.
