Pro Wrestling NOAH Parent Company Looking To Strengthen Relationship With WWE

Parent company of Pro Wrestling NOAH looking to strengthen WWE relationship

CyberFight recently unveiled their new President, with Yasuo Okamoto stepping into the role (officially beginning on June 1), whilst also serving as Representative Director of the pro-wrestling umbrella company.

One company under the CyberFight umbrella is Pro Wrestling NOAH, and during his unveiling during a press conference on May 15, Okamoto stated one of the target goals of his time in office will be in strengthening the relationship between CyberFight and WWE.

WWE worked with NOAH in early 2023, sending Shinsuke Nakamura to the promotion to wrestle The Great Muta at NOAH’s The New Year 2023 event as part of Muta’s farewell tour. WWE were at one point rumoured to be eyeing up a takeover of NOAH in the 2010s, as part of their planned global expansion with the NXT brand.

How this partnership will progress remains to be seen, with CyberFight also owning Tokyo Joshi Pro and DDT Pro-Wrestling, both of whom have close ties with All Elite Wrestling.

Okamoto replaces Sanshiro Takagi as President and Representative Director of CyberFight, with Takagi remaining with the company as an EVP and will oversee DDT Pro. Narihiro Takeda and Naomichi Marufuji will continue to oversee Pro Wrestling NOAH as Director and EVP respectively, whilst WWE Hall of Famer Keiji Muto will work with NOAH as a scouting advisor.
