Professional wrestling will be featured in Steven Spielberg's next movie. The currently untitled film will have at least one scene with pro wrestling, according to PWInsider.
The pro wrestling was filmed at the Paramount Theater in Long Island, New York several weeks ago and Chavo Guerrero oversaw the pro wrestling segments. All Elite Wrestling's Lance Archer and Brian Cage were two of the wrestlers in the scene, while Guerrero was the referee.
Pro wrestling was a part of the movie due to characters attending a wrestling show. The plot of the movie is currently unknown.
Chavo Guerrero recently discussed his time working on the movie, revealing that Spielberg is actually a pro wrestling fan and "Golden Greek" John Tolos was one of Spielberg's favourite pro wrestlers. They also exchanged stories about Andre The Giant.
One of the most famous pro wrestling movies is The Wrestler starring Mickey Rourke. Despite being nominated for an Academy Award for his portrayal of Randy 'The Ram' Robinson, Rourke admitted on Celebrity Big Brother that he "wasn't that big a fan" of the movie.
