On this day in 1996, there was scheduled to be a Casket Match at WWE IN Your House 8: Beware Of Dog.
In reality, the match actually took place on May 28, 1996, after the television event had to be rescheduled due to a severe thunderstorm that led to power going out at the stadium.
WWE has not hosted a Casket Match since two superstars competed in one at the Greatest Royal Rumble in 2018. The first to be broadcast took place at Survivor Series 1992, with 40 participants across all recorded Casket Matches.
