WWE's Hall of Fame ceremony has become an annual tradition over WrestleMania weekend, with the event to celebrate professional wrestling's past often taking place on the Friday night before what has become a two-night WrestleMania. 

The WWE Hall of Fame was established back in 1993, with only one inductee that year, before further ceremonies in 1994 and 1995 in conjunction with the King of the Ring pay-per-view, before the 1996 ceremony was held alongside that year's Survivor Series. The Hall of Fame ceremony then went on an eight-year hiatus before being revived in 2004 over WrestleMania 20 weekend.
